Karen Korber BSc(physio) graduated in Johannesburg in 1998. She specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy from the outset of her career. She has an extensive array of postgraduate training in treating sporting and spinal injuries. She has worked with professional sports teams including Professional Ice Hockey teams and the Great Britain bobsleigh team. Very early on she recognised the importance of correct exercise prescription for injury rehabilitation and started her process of learning the Pilates method. She is now not only a Pilates instructor but also a lecturer for an internationally renowned Pilates education Institute (APPI) specialising in Pilates for the clinical/injured population.
Further along her career, having treated not only sports and spinal injury patients but also office workers, Karen realised that adopting the correct postures and habits in the workplace is vital to optimal physical health. She provides advice and consultation about healthy ergonomic habits as part of her treatment regime.
When not at work Karen enjoys cycling, yoga and dancing Argentinean Tango
